File of papers including correspondence with the following bodies: Derbyshire Association of Parish Councils, Goodwin Cockerton and Colhoun Solicitors of Bakewell, Ministry of Housing and Local Government, Derbyshire County Council and Derbyshire Footpaths Preservation Society. The papers relate largely to the registration of Litton Village Green as common land; much of the correspondence relates to a legal dispute relating to the rights of land owners in respect of common land and public highways across private land. The file also includes a copy from an ordnance survey map marked with the outlines sections of village green.
