Articles of agreement, 11 Mar 1666, between inhabitants of the townships of Glossop, Padfield, Hadfield, Dinting, Whitfield, Chunal, Simmondly, and Charlesworth to inhabitants of the Chapelries of Mellor and Hayfield

Description
It was agreed that: the Chapelries of Mellor and Hayfield will pay one full moiety of all charges for the repair of the roof and walls of the Church, the repair of the steeple, for the holding of the Churchyard walls, gates, and also pay for the pulpit, cloth cushion, Church Bible, and service books;
the other moiety is to be paid by the town of Glossop for all other charges relating to the Church Steeple or Churchyard;
Glossop and the adjacent towns shall pay for the Communion bread, wine, and vessels;
all monies received from burials at the Church shall be spent on such things as the whole parish is chargable for;
Glossop and the adjacent towns, and the Chapelries of Mellor and Hayfield shall pay for Visitations and other public Church business;
the Churchwardens of the Chapelries shall have at least seven days notice before any church assessment; and finally,
the right of every inhabitant of the chapelries to a seat, stall or ground within the Church shall be reserved
Also includes accompanying letter from George Hand stating that the inhabitants of the Chapelries of Mellor and Hadfield must pay theoir quiota for the plastering and the timber, and organise a Parish meeting and reach a formal assessment upon the inhabitants of the Parish's ability to pay for the work, 14 Apr [1785]
