Administrative HistoryThe church of St. Thomas was built in 1831 and in 1832 became the centre of e separate consolidated chapelry or district, later parish, formed from the parishes of Old Brampton and Chesterfield (St Mary and All Saints). The new district included, besides New Brampton, the townships of Holymoorside and Walton, where a chapel of ease and mission church were built in 1841 and 1916 respectively, together with part of Newbold.
Custodial HistoryThese records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office at various dates between 1981 and April 2006. Additional deposits were received in April 2010, July 2013 and July 2017 (see D2443/UL).
