| Description | Mrs Cellier stood on the pillory at the Maypole today. She was much pelted but not hurt. There was a guard of above 400 men. It is said she had an headpiece and armour as Giles had. She pretended to be in childbirth in prison but was discovered for a sham. The Duke of Monmouth went five days since to Lord Lovelace's. Lord Shaftesbury who came to tow a week since has a tertian ague. |
