DescriptionAn epidemic has laid low many of the 'negroes' [Black peoples]; five Blue Mountain 'slaves' [enslaved African peoples] have died; and one at Grange Hill; one of the trash houses at Grange Hill has been burned down; a very fine crop of corn at Vere has given that estate 3 years' supply in store. 10 December 1807/5 February
