Transcript or IndexTRANSLATION
To all who shall see or hear these letters, Thomas de Castelton, vicar of Wirksworth, [erasure] William de Hoglin and [erasure] Thomas Doure, chaplains,
send greetings in the Lord; know that whereas Robert de Stanelegh has granted an annual rent of a hundred pounds issuing from all the lands and tenements which once
belonged to Alice, daughter of Thomas Foljaumbe in the counties of York, Derby and Stafford, to Roger Foljaumbe, his heirs and assigns forever;
know that we the aforesaid Thomas, William and Thomas have attorned to the said Roger according to the meaning of the said grant, as tenants of all the lands and tenements in
Skelhale in the county of York which belonged to the said Alice, and of the abovesaid rentcharge; in witness of which matter to this letter of attornment
we have placed our seals; written at Wirksworth the 6 day of May in the fifth year of the reign of king Richard the second
