Know (men) now and in the future that I, Robert son of Adam le Walker of Bolhawe, have given, granted and this my present charter confirmed to Hugh, son of Hugh Baresoc of the same place and his heirs and his assigns one messuage with a courtyard adjacent etc. with all appurtenances in Bolhawe, which messuage lies between the highway and a pond…………………..Hugh Baresoc senior on the eastern side……………………………of Hugh and the tenant the said messuage with the courtyard with all appurtenances……………. pertaining to the said messuage

by me and my heirs ………………. to the aforesaid Hugh and his heirs and his assigns freely (quietly) and in peace. Rendering for

exactions of the court and……………………..I, the aforesaid Robert and my heirs and assigns warrant the said messuage with the courtyard to the aforesaid Hugh, his heirs and assigns, against all people forever. In witness of which matter I apply my seal to this my present charter. These (being) witnesses: Hugh Baresoc senior, John …….. de Sapyrton of the same(place), William de Asse ……..W.lle of the same (place), William de Forneworke……of the same (place) and others. Given at Kalc ………………………in the fifteenth year of the reign of King Edward son of King Edward (1321 or 1322).
