Title | Marriage settlement between Edward Blunt the younger of Wymeswold, yeoman, and Nicholas Fisher of Wymeswold, yeoman, and Nicholas Fisher of Wymeswold, clerk, Edward Cowen of Thrussington, clerk, and John Burbidge of Ratcliffe on the Wreake, yeoman, (trustees) by which, in consideration of a marriage between Blunt and Ellyn Burbidge youngest daughter of Henry Burbidge of Ratcliffe on the Wreake, yeoman, Blunt has enfeoffed to trustees, all his messuages and tenements in Wymeswold with land etc., belonging to the use of Blunt until the marriage, then to the use of Blunt for his natural life, then after his death a moiety to the use of Ellyn for her natural life, and the other moiety to the use of their lawful male issue; after the death of both the whole to the use of the lawful male issue, and in default to the use of the heirs male of Blunt, in default to the use of the lawful heirs of Blunt and in default to the use of the rights heirs of Blunt: if Ellyn dies without male issue but with daughter(s) and Edward dies with lawful male issue then the trustees are to hold the premises above until they have received from the male heir the sum of £120, to be paid to the daughter(s) on her twenty-first birthday or at the time of her marriage 29 Sep |
