Description
For terms of 80 years for raising the portions of the children of Sir Thomas Pettus and reciting also the subsequent death of Sir Thomas Pettus, the marriage of Elizabeth his only daughter to Rowland Okeover, the death of Knyvett and le Crosse leaving the remainder of the 80 year term vested in Marsham and the subsequent assignment of the remainder of the 80 year term by Marsham to Sir John Pettus, Kempe, Ayde and Palmer by assignment dated 10 May 1676), of the farms, etc. released to Shepley and Girling to the use of Marsham, Knyvett and le Crosse for 80 years in 1656 on the condition that they shall and do upon reasonable request at the cost of Rowland Okeover suffer such reasonable act for the barring or docking of their estate tail or remainder in a certain messuage in Rackheath now or late in the occupation of Phillips and Gate, at a yearly value of £16, and in a certain meadow in Thorpe next Norwich, limited successively to the first and every other son of the said Sir John Pettus in tail mail
