TitleFamily settlement between Richard Goodwin of Ashbourne, gent, and Sarah his wife, Benjamin Wigley of Nottingham, gent, and William Wardle of Boosley, Staffs [Staffordshire], gent by which Goodwin has released to Wigley and Wardle all those three closes, pieces of parcels of meadow ground lying together in Mapleton between Mapleton Ryefield and Bradbourne Brook, called the Oxerings, 6 acres, and a barn standing in one of the closes adjacent to the Ryefield, and all those lands of arable ground lying together on the upper side of the Ryefield, 2 acres, lately purchased by Richard Goodwin of Phillip Maddocks of Ashbourne, baker; also all that close or parcel of land lying between Ryefield and Bradbourne brook adjacent to the Oxerings, now or late in the possession of John Alcocke, lately purchased from John Newham, gent., to the use of Goodwin for his natural life and after the determination of that estate the use of Wigley and Wardle during the natural life of Goodwin in trust to support the contingent uses and estates, namely after his decease to the use of Sarah his wife for her natural life, then their lawful male heirs, and in default of issue to the use of Richard Goodwin his heirs and assigns.
