Title
Declaration by Thomas Gresley knight, late Sheriff of Staffordshire, and Ralph Oker [Okeover], the present Sheriff, that Gresley has delivered to Oker (a) two writs of exigent, one for the suit of George Stanley against John Galway, clerk, late of Lichfield, the other against John Gesling, yeoman of the parish of High Offley [Staffordshire]at the suit of William Lowe, (b) three writs of right at the suit of William Basset, esq., against Alexander Falowes of Butterton and Henry Berysford [Beresford] of Asheholme, another at the suit of William Basset against John Stubbs and Thomas Baumford of Butterton, the third at the suit of Thomas Kanden against John Porter, smith, of Abbots Bromley, (c) the bodies of John Turner, Robert Barne, Robert Lumals, Edward Lumals, James Lumals and Nicholas Staynton, prisoners in the King's gaol, for a suspected felony, (d) a writ of Recordere Facere Loquelam at the suit of John Coton against Thomas Sapperton
