Administrative History
Records of Betheada Methodist Church at Codnor, originally the United Methodist Free Church, which opened in 1854.
A day school, Mill Lane (British) School was opened in 1872. The church became the base for the Methodist Church in Codnor in the 1960s after the closure of the former Wesleyan Methodist and Primitive Methodist Chapels. The church building was demolished in 1980 when a new church was built in Mill Lane on the site of the old Sunday School buildings.
