Administrative History
The parish of Rowsley was formed in 1860 from parts of Bakewell (see D2057), Darley (see D1978) and Youlgreave (see D3644). Formerly the majority of the area, the township of (Great) Rowsley had been in Bakewell, Little Rowsley had been part of Darley (D1978).

Acquired by Derbyshire Record Office in 1980.
