Description
In the margin on the front page is written in manuscript Joseph Wilson Esq., 20 Main Street, Long Eaton, Nr Birmingham. Contains entry relating to scheme to affect the transfer of the ownership of the advowson to the church and cure of Risley, county of Derby and diocese of Southwell, from the Bishop of Southwell to Ernest Terah Hooley of Risley Hall. In consideration of Hooley's payment of £500 to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners of the augmentation of the income of Risley benefice, 19 May 1898. Ratifield (See page 3144). Contains entry relating to order that no new burial ground shall be opened in following parishes without approval of a Principal Secretary of State, and burials are to be discontinued in Cotmanhay church and churchyard, churches and churchyards of St Anne and St John, Buxton (further detail, 19 May 1898 see page 3157)
