Martha Wood and Catherine Fletcher insist they are equal co-heiresses, with the children of Martha Hieron, of Elizabeth Richardson and should have two thirds of her property.

Recites the will of Elizabeth Richardson dated 8 January 1757:
To cousin Rebecca Tatum, companion, farm in Dalbury Lees and detailed personal possessions
To Rebecca Tatum and Rachael Radford, specified household effects
To sister Katherine Fletcher of Heanor, widow, £500
To niece Martha Wood the elder of Swanwick, widow, £600
To niece Elizabeth Radford, farm at Horsley Woodhouse
To all servants £5 each
To the poor of Smalley £10
To the poor of Holbrook and Horsley Woodhouse, 40 shillings each
To the poor of Morley, Heanor, Horsley, Kilburn and Little Eaton, 30 shillings each
To servant Anthony Woodward the younger, £20
To servant Elizabeth Woodhouse, £5
Residue of personal and real estate to nieces Rachael Radford, Elizabeth Radford, Martha Hieron and Ann Hieron
To Sarah Waterman, wife of Thomas, of Smalley, £10 at her own disposal

The document is stored within its original leather covered box with marbled paper lining, which has been custom-made in the shape of the rolled document with appended Great Seal.
