Administrative HistoryThe Boothby family purchased Broadlow Ash Hall and estate, formerly Beresford and Milward property, early in the 17th century. In 1754 it was sold to Nicholas Twigge of Holme Hall. Broadlow Ash Hall wes demolished in 1795 when associated buildings were converted into two farmhouses. The estate passed in the early 19th century to Francis Thornagh Foljambe of East Retford Notts and Wm Bourne of Kirk Ella, Yorkshire, under the will of the Revd Thos Francis Twigge of Derby.
Custodial HistoryThese documents were transferred from a London firm of solicitors via the British Records Association (BRA nos 1825, 2027, 2029) in 1980 and 1982.
