Certified copy of award of Sir John Manners in the dispute over repairs to the mother church of Bakewell. Award dated 1 Feb 1601/02. Copy c.1663 accompanied by sworn statement of certain inhabitants as to the custom of payment by scores of beasts and the reluctance by the chapelry of Taddington to pay its share either by scores of cattle or an agreed proportion (D2057/A/PI/30/1) with transcript (D2057/A/PI/30/2)
