Probate of Thomas Wilson of Codnor, yeoman, to his daughter Mary and Samuell Spencer her husband, 20s each; to grandson Samuell Spencer, 20s; to grandson Thomas Wilson Spencer, all his tithes etc purchased from Sir Gilbert Clarke (see D193 Z/T 20) provided that he pay such procurations as are due to the Bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, Archdeacon of Derby and Dean and Chapter of Lichfield and that if Samuell Spencer, the grandson, shall pay £70 to Thomas Wilson Spencer, he shall have the tithes; to Thomas Wilson Spencer all his plate and books (except mathematical books); to granddaughter Mary Spencer, a close purchased of Henry Wawin, with all his linen, pewter and brass; to granddaughter Elizabeth Spencer, £60; to kinsman John Harris, all his mathematical books; to Samuel Harris, 10s; to Elizabeth Harris, 10s; to son- in-law Jonathan Broadhurst, 10s; to kinsman Thomas Collin, 10s and to his sons, John and Thomas, 10s each; to his brothers John and Richard Strey and his sisters Mary Miller and Dorothy Strey, 20d each; to Mary, daughter of Samuel Strey 10s; to Mary, daughter of Richard Strey, 20s; to the other children of Richard Strey 10s; the sum of £5 to nonconformist ministers at his executor's discretion; to John Wright of Sutton £5, to be paid 20s p.a. and to Elizabeth his sister 20s; to every poor widow in Codnor and Loscoe 6d; to every poor widow in Heanor and Langley Mill 4d; the remainder of his personal estate to daughter Mary and her husband Samuell Spencer (will dated 10 September 1692),
