Further information: Iridocyclitis unrelated to accidents. Previous accidents: 11 December 1940 when acetone splashed in the eye, resulted in a lump sum compensation payment in 1948 and the accident of 12 July 1951 resulted in a 15 per cent for life disablement assessment for life. From Woodside No 1 Branch Secretary Mr Roberts to NUM October 31st 1962: 'He is now a recognised Blind person'.
