Description | Date of birth: 23/02/1904 Marital status: Not given Address: 37 Coupland Place, Somercotes Type of injury: Fractured tibial condyle and injury to finger followed by depression Description of accident: Crushed between an over-turned truck and a wall Further information: Final Medical Board was held at Pastures Hospital on 4 June 1959. Medical report of 4 October 1959 includes: 'after a course of Elecrtroplexy his mental condition appears much improved [...] he was depressed, agitated and preoccupied about his health and especially his Rt. leg [...] a considerable hysterical overlay present. This may have been linked with the problem of compensation'. A further assessment period at 2 per cent was set to run from 27/10/1959 for life. Handwritten note: 'Condition definitely due to accident. He never had any Hysterical tendency before accident'. |
