Description	Date of birth: 31/05/1906 Marital status: Married Address: 37 Robertson Avenue, Duckmanton, Chesterfield Type of injury: Injury - head Description of accident: Coals came out and knocked a prop out which hit him on the forehead and nose' Further information: At the initial Medical Board, it was noted that Jowle was 'miserable and somewhat debilitated, tremulous and nervous'. A later final assessment of 3 per cent for life stated: 'Mental condition is now normal. Scar […] well healed.[…] Complains of headaches at times'. Letter from claimant's GP said 'He now complains of frontal headaches, insomnia and attacks of trembling. I have prescribed sedatives and tonics for him. In my opinion his disability is more in the region of 20 per cent than 3 per cent'.
