Further information: A further accident occurred when Moody suffered a fractured femur, on 9 August 1958, while on holiday in Doncaster at his daughter's but this was not ultimately attributed to the knee injury as initially suggested. Pre-existing Paget's disease noted. Several previous Local and Medical Appeal claims included in the paperwork, dating from 1953 and final corresppondence of 1960. Moody wrote: 'i am helpless cannot get about I have to be dressed by my wife'.
