Further information: The Davis suffered a knee injury on 8 March 1950 and it was initially assessed at 15 per cent for four months from 23 January 1951. Following this assessed at 5 per cent for life on 30 October 1951. The Notice of Appeal information states that the grounds for appeal by the claimant are 'Owing to the pains I have with my left knee while kneeling and also walking I am dissatisfied with the decision of the Medical Board'. On appeal the decision was changed to 10 per cent for life. There is paperwork going back to 1950 with hospital notes containing information that 'certain information [...] may be detrimental to the claimant.'
