Further information: File includes paperwork relating to a Commissioner's hearing on 11 October 1955 of the insurance officer's appeal against Special Hardship Allowance, when Burrows had been an underground miner for 40 years. The industrial disease was Miner's Nystagmus (Burrows had one false eye). The case outcome is not given. Several letters from Burrows regarding this case, mainly in relation to whether further Opthalmic opinion was required by the Appeal Tribunal. Carbonated wage slips included.
