Title
Medical Appeal Tribunal case file for Stanley Dawes, aged 45, Cutter man at Wingfield Manor, relating to an Industrial Accident
Date
1958
Description
Date of birth: 18/10/1912
Marital status: Not given
Address: Hill Crest, Birches Lane, South Wingfield
Type of injury: Injury - knee
Description of accident: Pulling haulage rope and prop
Further information: Accidental injury (non-industrial) to Dawes' wrist occurred in January 1957, caused when the previously injured knee 'gave way'. The Medical Appeal was that this constituted unforeseen aggravation of the knee injury. The Tribunal stated: 'we are unable to find that the injury to the wrist in January 1957 was a sequela of the injury to the knee. Nor do we find that there has been any unforeseen aggravation in the condition of the knee'.
