They have also Redundant a lot of fellows there and I was one of them' and the NUM reply included: 'about the Manager telling you they were keeping you on until you were 65, I presume they are doing that because we have pressed the point that they should not make men redundant when they reach the 60's because it is difficult to get work elsewhere, also because of the Miners' Pension question'. Another exchange of correspondence includes: 'With reference to the £4 Holiday Pay, which I presume you mean the Colliery Holiday Savings Scheme'.
