Later described as chest pain. Tribunal 15 April 1954 adjourned for physician's report; this gives a very detailed history of the accident and symptoms since then: 'with frequent short rests he managed to finish the shift, the pain persisting the whole time[...] a poor night because of the persisting pain [...] the next morning after doing a few household duties (fire-lighting etc) it came on as bad as ever. [...] his present history suggests coronary insufficiency now with angoid pain [...] the relationship here between trauma and the production of "angina" is a strong one'. Tribunal findings: 'the claimant did have a coronary thrombosis'. |
