Typed sheet states: 'The Chairman of the Appeal Board […] commented on the fact that Mr Wilkinson was unco-operative dutring the examination and desired to stress how essential it was that workmen should co-operate with the Board [...] a lack of co-operation might result in an adverse finding'. Wilkinson had asserted that he had been told he was suffering from Beat knee and alleged that was due to the accident. Severe co-existing osteo-arthritis of the knee joint was noted. An orthopaedic opinion stated the leg condition was not beat knee but there was an infective dermatitis present. |
