Further information: An assessment of 30 per cent disablement had been made on appeal (raised from 20 per cent) in May 1952. The appeal was on the grounds of sustantial and unforeseen aggravation. In the Tribunal findings: 'there was no substantial and unforeseen aggravation. The repair of the hernia is very satisfactory. The assessment of 20 per cent final [...] is set aside'. Cutts had 34 episodes of incapacity to work in the previous 2 years.
