Description | Date of birth: 19/04/1901 Marital status: Married Address: 42 South Street, South Normanton Type of injury: Injury - finger Description of accident: When pushing an empty under the loader another empty ran in trapping his right index finger Further information: Not in correct alphabetical place in spreadsheet. Hill had an accident on 10 February 1949 which trapped his right index finger. He spent 20 to 25 July 1949 in hospital for an operation. Disablement pension was paid from 10 August 1949 (?) at 45/- per week. The extent of disablement intially assessed at 100 per cent for 6 months. On appeal this was reduced to 30 per cent for 6 months on the basis that 'his disability is considerably less than if he had lost the whole hand.' |
