| Description | Date of birth: 19/07/1906 Marital status: Not given Address: 37 Victoria Street, Ripley Type of injury: Injury - ankle Description of accident: Slipped whilst walking on main road Further information: Fox injured himself on 14 December 1949, when he slipped while walking along Main Road, fracturing his right ankle. The reassessment board reported that the right ankle fracture was 'still palpable' on 7 September 1950 (at 10 per cent) and not likely to be a permanent loss of faculty. An award of 'Disablement gratuity' of £2 19- was made. The Medical Board decision was no upheld by the Tribunal who decided the loss of faculty is likely to be permanent. An extra gratuity was granted of £22 10s. |
