From one of several letters to the NUM, in 1975: ''I went to Ransom Hospital this morning I thought for a Honest opinion by a Neutral Docotr I find when I get there I was confronted by Nine XRays Nine Doctors notes [...] is everything corrupt if so I will wait until I die and have a Postmortem [...] you know Herbert the Doctors are in a union same as the miners [...] I thank you for trying its hopeless'.
