In response to a letter from Bradley outlining his financial situation the Compensation Agent writes on 1 April 1953: 'I think that you ought to see the National Assistance Officer and ask him, in addition to the money which is being granted, he could give you a paper for special sustenance i.e. milk, milk foods, eggs etc. In regard to the coal question. We have no County Agreement they are all pit agreements'. |
