Further information: No unforeseen aggravation. Further papers in 1967 include from the NUM Compensation Agent: 'He has had numerous periods of incapacity which he feels are attributable to the accident. He also appears to have developed a neurosis and complains of violent headaches'. A psychiatrist's letter states the miner was successfully treated for depression after he 'presented [...] with ideas of inadequacy and poverty [...] at least one distinguished expert in this problem of industrial and post-traumatic neurosis considers that most of them , if not all, are malingerers'.
