From claimant's letter of appeal: 'I was sent to Marsh Quarry Coll. to drive a stone drift from there up to a new one. I was alright until we reached the new seam the water poured from the roof. We were supplied with ooilskin coats but we still got wet through'. From Tribunal findings: 'His skin condition has been the result of contact with khaki shirts'. This appeal was heard in Leeds and representation supplied by the Barnsley NUM office.
