Description | Date of birth: 25/11/1896 Marital status: Not given Address: 31 Charles Street, Leabrooks Type of injury: Fractured ankle Description of accident: Whilst putting coals on belt some dirt fell on his left ankle Further information: Buttery sustained an injury to his ankle on 11 April 1949. He tried to do his old occupation on 15 August 1949. Subsequent Medical Boards found that he was suffering from a loss of faculty which is likely to be permanent. The appeal board on 27 September 1950 upheld these decisions despite the first medical board's decision that it was not likely to be permanent. Previous incapacity for work due to: hyperperion; fibrositis; injury to arm; injury to hand. |
