Memorandum of an agreement made between Mr John Brocklehurst, the landlord, and Dr T H Parke, Rev R Holmes and Mr Ezra Walker, representing the Tideswell Cliffe Bowling Club, the tenants, whereby the landlord lets to the tenants a plot of land laid out as a bowling green situated near the Cliffe House, Tideswell, to hold from year to year from 29 Sep 1919. Rent 20s. Membership of the club not to exceed forty; no children allowed; landlord to act as supervisor of the green at an annual retainer of £3; green to be closed on Sundays; the tenants to have permission to erect a small, wooden pavilion. Dated 14 May.
