Marriage settlement by declaration of uses made between 1) Nathaniel Hallowes of Derby esq mayor of Derby and his son and heir Samuel and 2) Thomas Charnells of Snareston, (Leicestershire) gent and John Taylor of Marrick, (Yorkshire) gent In consideration of the marriage between Samuel Hallowes and Elizabeth only daughter and heir of Nathaniel Jackson of Barwick in Elmet, (Yorkshire) clerk and for £1,000 paid by Nathaniel Jackson to Nathaniel Hallowes, the Hallowes declared that they stood seised of the manor of Mugginton, 2/3 manor of Dethick and Lea Mill, and 2 messuages etc (except woods in Oaken Greave, Swine Park and the Greave) in Lea and Dethick, Thornsett Hall and named lands in Glossop and Hayfield, Muston (Leicestershire), Barrowby and Woolsthorpe near Stainwith, (Lincolnshire), to uses expressed
