D187/1
Title
Woolhouse family - title deeds
Description
[Note. Professor TFT Plucknett believes that the documents numbered D187/1/180-186 to be "part of an operation which would now be embodied in a marriage settlement". Elizabeth may have been the daughter of Richard of Sutton and sister of John. Robert of Glapwell would appear to be making provision for his wife Elizabeth by providing a jointure for her. In addition, Agnes widow of Robert of Glapwell's father is to alienate her manor of Glapwell and take back a life estate with remainder to Robert and Elizabeth jointly]
