Title
Agreement by which Abbot William and the canons of Darley granted to Geoffrey de Grangiis [Grange] chaplain, all tithes of corn, hay, wool, lamb and other small tithes and the oblations pertaining to their chapel of Glapwell and the toft pertaining to the chaplain of the said chapel, and another toft with a croft etc for a term of 5 years beginning at Michaelmas 1289, saving to the canons the principal mortuary in live animals, land and growing corn and all the greater tithes from their ploughed land and herds in Glapwell. Geoffrey shall pay annually to the canons 45s 2d, discharge synodal dues and Lenten dues that is 18d annually and shall serve the chapel in person with a suitable clerk and maintain the buildings in the said tofts and if he constructs new buildings there he must not remove them at the end of this term. For the observance of this agreement Geoffrey found pledges that is Simon son of Hugh of Glapwell and Richard de Grangiis [11 Nov]
