Chirograph: the other half of the agreement between Abbot Walter and the community of Darley Abbey with their parishioners of Glapwell concerning the repair of the chancel of the chapel there

Description
Seal: one wax (dark green) on a clean parchment tag bearing impressions from two matrices.
Front: conventual seal of Darley Abbey
Pointed oval, now 50x33mm, top and upper right lost, damaged to lower left, fair impression.
Motif description: Virgin Mary seated full-face holding in her right hand a sceptre resting on her right shoulder, Christ Child seated on her left knee, blessing.
Legend: [section lost] AN [?T]E [section lost] RIE : DE : DER[. . .]
Back: subsidiary seal (abbatical seal?) of Darley Abbey
Round, ?mm, clear impression.
Motif description: Winged figure standing to left facing right with right hand raised, nimbed figure seated to right facing left (the Annunciation)
