Title
Deed to lead the uses of feoffment of same date between 1. Edward Revell of Pinxton, John Bretton and John Breedon of Annesley, Nottinghamshire, yeoman and 2. Robert Bennett of Pinxton husbandman. Bennett has enfeoffed Revell, Bretton and Breedon in one half of a messuage in Pinxton and Kirby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, now in the occupation of the feoffor. Thomas Boote, Hugh Farnewoorthe, Symon Farnewoorthe and Christopher Spawton of Pinxton yeomen, stand bound with the feoffee as sureties to several persons; Boote and Spawton to William Millotte of Annesley in £40 for payment of £22, Boote and Hugh and Symon Farnewoorthe to William Thompson of p. Scarcliffe in £40 for payment of £20. Bennett has enfeoffed the feoffees in the premises in trust to let, sell or mortgage them to discharge the sureties and pay the debts. If the debts shall be paid with his goods alone, the feoffees are to convey the premises to Anthony Bennett his eldest son or Thomas Bennett his younger son whichever they "shall better like of", charging the premises or taking security of the one brother to pay the other brother such sums as they think meet. 22 Feb 43 Eliz.
