TitleLease by Dorothy Tagg of Park Lane, Shirland, widow, and Mary the wife of Edward Hutchinson (formerly Mary Tagg) of the same place, and Edward G Hutchinson, to the Blackwell Colliery Company of the Deep Soft Coal, Deep Har Coal, Furnace Coal, Three Quarter Coal and Blackshale Coal under closes called Big Crofte, Near Cinderhill, Far Cinderhill, Dam Lane close, Nether Wragg Close, Barker Meadow, Upper Wragg Close, Big Row and Little Row, together with fireclay and ironstone: and a moiety of the same beds of coal, ironstone and fireclay under Well close, Wetton Barn close, Butts, Nether Park and Upper Park - all in Shirland - plan inset: for 50 years: fixed rent of £70 per annum for 15 years or until an amount paid by the company reaches £1000, whichever happens first, and then a fixed minimum rent of £50 per annum for the remainder of the term, plus mineral rents of £70 per acre (£35 for moiety) of Deep Hard and Deep Soft coal mined, £50 per acre (£25 for moiety) of Three Quarter Coal and £60 per acre (£30 for moiety) of Blackshale Coal; 6d per ton (3d for moiety) for each ton of fireclay and ironstone mined. 4 May 1887
