Settlement by lease and release by John Goodwin of Ashbourne and Mary his wife to John Alsopp of Ashbourne gentleman of a messuage, barn, stable, cowhouse, foldyard, garden and croft and the pasture at the back of the town (9½ acres), the Two Callow Fields (6½ acres), the Hill Close (4½ acres) and those six other closes called the Upper Grounds with the barn standing on one of them, containing 20 acres, all lying in Mapleton

Description
Lately purchased by John Goodwin from George Milnes, to hold in trust for John Goodwin for his life and then to the use of Mary for life and then to the use of any person as Mary may appoint or direct, and in default to the use of the heirs of the bodies of John and Mary and in default, to the right heirs of John forever.
