Title
Feoffment by bargain and sale by Charles Swift of Norwich surgeon and Gilbert Swift of the same place gentleman, brother of Charles, grandchildren of Gilbert Swift of Ashbourne, hardwareman, deceased, to Richard Goodwin of Ashbourne gentleman of a flat of land lying in a field in Mapleton called the Rye Field abutting north-west on a pasture called the Callow, and west on the land of Richard Goodwin, one land in the same field by the side of the road on the overside, and one land over against the last mentioned land on the netherside of the road, and a piece of land on the netherside of the said road adjoining south on the lane and barn belonging to Richard Goodwin, which premises were conveyed, together with a messuage and croft in Mapleton on 15/16 June 1713, to Joseph Hayne of Ashbourne (see T7-8), and by lease and release of 21/22 February 1715/16 were declared to be held by Hayne in trust for Gilbert Swift deceased
