Description
Whereby, in consideration of £47 paid by Thomas Forde and of a further £15 to be paid being the residue of the sum bequeathed for Sarah’s portion by the will of her father William Forde, John Maddocke sen. of Mapleton yeoman and Hannah his wife convey to Thomas Forde and Philip Maddocke of Ashbourne baker a parcel of land called the Hartlings (1 acre) in the Rye Field, a parcel of land called the Church Flatt in the Upper Field, one land in the Middle Field, a parcel of land in Nether Field in a place called Goodwins Sitch, another land in the same field, and a third land in the same field together with all common grazing enjoyed with the said lands, to hold in trust for John Maddocke the son and Sarah, and for the longer liver, and then in trust for the heirs of the bodies of John and Sarah.
