Administrative History
This institution was founded in 1893 as Heanor Technical College, then rebuilt in 1910-1912 as the Heanor Secondary Technical School, a name later changed to Heanor Secondary School. It became a Grammar School in 1944. It was finally amalgamated with South East Derbyshire College in the 1970s.
Custodial History
These records were deposited at Derbyshire Record Office by the School in a number of deposits, starting in 1985. The school photograph (D1635/EZ/8) was donated by a private individual in November 2016.
