Deed of gift from John Pog[er] of Chesterfield to Roger del Leghes of Chesterfield, chaplain and John Goule of the same, of a tenement lying in Soutergate [Saltergate] between the tenement of Peter del Kyrke on the north and the tenement of the Dean of the Blessed Mary of Lincoln, in which Henry Perysson stays, on the south, adjoining headlands over the High Way on the west and the place called le Gotesyorde on the east, in Chesterfield. Witnesses Nicholas de Bantwell, Robert de Flintham, Robert de Hampton, John Beverege, John del Frith and others. Dated at Chesterfield, Wednesday before the Feast of St Michael the Archangel 4 Ric II [26 Sep 1380]
