Deed of gift from Nicholas Fox of Chesterfield to Adam Horn of Chesterfield, chaplain, of a shop and messuage with buildings in the vill of Chesterfield, the shop lying in the new market in Potter Rowe between the shops of John Houde and John le Harker, and the messuage with buildings in Soutergate [Saltergate] between the plots of Adam, son of Robert de Harleyeand the Lord of Chesterfield, adjoining headlands above the High Way and the courtyard of Robert de Hampton. Witnesses John le Harker, Henry de Mansfield, Robert Fellason, John le Iron, Henry son of Philip and many others. Dated at Chesterfield, Saturday on the eve of Easter 15 Edw III [7 Apr 1341]
