Deed of gift from Godfrey Foliambe [Foljambe] of Walton, esquire, to John Dains of Chesterfield, of a messuage above le Cornell' [?the corner] of Tapton Lane extending from the lane to the east to the messuage late of Henry Foliambe [Foljambe] on the west, lying by the headlands above the King's Highway to the south and the garden of Ralph Frechevyle [Frescheville] of Brimington to the north , the messuage lately had from the gift of John Dawson, son and heir of William Dawson late of Chesterfield, deceased; the deed also appointing John Northege, clerk and Henry Raysnhawe, smith, both of Chesterfield, his attorneys to deliver possession. Witnesses: Richard Cade, William Clerk, Alan Lache and others. Dated at Chesterfild, Monday after the feast of Corpus Christi 1 Hen VIII [11 Jn 1509]
